Gretchen was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico (Yes, she is bilingual!). She obtained both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Arts and worked extensively as a crisis counselor before embarking on a career in the beauty industry. She was inspired to kick off her new career after her “big chop”, where she cut off all her chemically-treated hair to embrace her natural texture. Gretchen graduated from Empire Beauty School in 2023 at the top of her class and was also awarded a Wella Professionals’ scholarship for her work. Gretchen is always looking forward to continuing education, whether that be curly haircare or haircutting.

Gretchen is passionate, detail-oriented and always going the extra mile for her clients. When she’s not working, you will find her trying new restaurants or traveling the world with her husband and their dog Luca.
